Happy Pi Day
March 14th is celebrated as Pi Day by many math teachers and their students. For those of you not familiar with Pi Day, the numerical approximation of Pi is 3.14, making March 14th (3/14) Pi Day. I have one Pi Day Flag left in my Etsy Shop! Happy Pi Day :)

Cardboard Box Airplane
Today's project was making a cardboard box airplane. I used a utility knife on a wooden cutting board to shape the box and then we used a stapler to attach felt to the sides for decorating the plane. Dave helped by holding things in place while I used the stapler. I probably used about 1 yard of felt, which you can sometimes find on sale for less than $3 a yard.

Cardboard Box Cruise Ship
My in-laws like to take cruises. The little guy recently visited them and learned that people hit golf balls off of the ships into the ocean. He thought that this sounded like a great idea. So, today, we made our very own cruise ship with a cardboard box, Elmer's Glue, Colored Paper and Streamers. I love making projects with the little guy from whatever we can find around the house. He had a great time creating it and then hitting golf balls off of the deck into the pretend ocean! I think that our next cardboard box project will be an airplane.

EtsyMom Valentine's Day Treasure Hunt
Welcome to the first EtsyMom Valentine's Day Treasure Hunt! The rules are simple but the game is fun. Anyone can enter and there's lots of great prizes to be won. So let's get started!
The Rules:
- Go through all of the participating shops listed below between February 1st and 14th.
- Find the listing with the valentine's day icon hidden.
- Copy/Paste the listing URL into an email.
- Once all icons have been found (one in each shop listed), send your email to etsymomteam@gmail.com
- On February 15th, 3 names will be drawn as winners (Grand, second and third place).
The Requirements:
- Anyone is eligible to enter and win - not just moms - not just etsy shoppers.
- Entrants with 100% correct URLs will be entered to win one of the prize packages.
- If no entrants have all correct URLs, Grand prize will go to the person with the most correct answers, second prize to the next person and third prize to the next person. In case of a tie, http://www.random.org will determine the winner.
- Winners will have 3 days to reply to congratulatory email with their mailing address. If they do not respond, each winner will be bumped up 1 prize level until 3rd prize is available and a new winner will be chosen.
