Happy Mother's Day

One of my little angels
Since I have become a mother, my favorite time of the day is right before I go to sleep at night. I give each of my children one last tuck in before I am off to la la land. When they are sound asleep at night, they look so at peace and like little angels. Words cannot express the love between a mother and child. Growing up, I always knew that my parents loved me. However, I did not know just how much, until I became a mom myself. Happy Mother's Day.

Knit Lace Baby Hat

So, I didn't quite finish my project last night. I am at least in the part of knitting where I am decreasing the amount of stitches per round to finish up the hat. I am knitting this lovely little bamboo/silk lace hat for my niece, who is 3 months old. I've already made one for my baby girl. She seems quite happy with it!

Happy Pi Day

March 14th is celebrated as Pi Day by many math teachers and their students. For those of you not familiar with Pi Day, the numerical approximation of Pi is 3.14, making March 14th (3/14) Pi Day. I have one Pi Day Flag left in my Etsy Shop! Happy Pi Day :)

Cardboard Box Airplane

Today's project was making a cardboard box airplane. I used a utility knife on a wooden cutting board to shape the box and then we used a stapler to attach felt to the sides for decorating the plane. Dave helped by holding things in place while I used the stapler. I probably used about 1 yard of felt, which you can sometimes find on sale for less than $3 a yard.
