Cardboard Box Airplane

Today's project was making a cardboard box airplane. I used a utility knife on a wooden cutting board to shape the box and then we used a stapler to attach felt to the sides for decorating the plane. Dave helped by holding things in place while I used the stapler. I probably used about 1 yard of felt, which you can sometimes find on sale for less than $3 a yard.

Cardboard Box Cruise Ship

My in-laws like to take cruises. The little guy recently visited them and learned that people hit golf balls off of the ships into the ocean. He thought that this sounded like a great idea. So, today, we made our very own cruise ship with a cardboard box, Elmer's Glue, Colored Paper and Streamers. I love making projects with the little guy from whatever we can find around the house. He had a great time creating it and then hitting golf balls off of the deck into the pretend ocean! I think that our next cardboard box project will be an airplane.

Cabana Bag - Knit with Fabric Strips

I recently finished a custom order for one of my Etsy friends, JG Edge Wear. I wanted to post the finished product, because I have never made anything like this before. The custom order was for a cabana bag made by knitting fabric strips together and then sewing the lining and handles. It was a fun project and helped get me back into knitting, something that I had not done in years!
