Freddie the Frog

So, my 10 month old son is always trying to get at the cording for my baskets. I decided to make him a toy with some cording. With Spring Fling Contest for Fabulous Artistic Moms of Etsy and seeing this polka dot green fabric at JoAnn's, I knew that I was destined to make a frog. I think that we will name him Freddie the Frog. His arms and legs are made from cording wrapped with fabric, just like I use for my baskets. I think that I would use a thinner ribbon for the tongue next time! Sometimes you need to take time out to be a mom; so instead of making a basket for my shop this week, I made a toy for the little guy. This week I will be making him an Easter Basket. Stay tuned for photos of his Basket!

Years ago, my husband & I had to walk for 20 mins on a unlit grassy path, from our car to a little inn. It was pouring rain & .... there were millions of little frogs in that whole area. I had sandals & went "squash! squash! squash!" all the way. Your frog is cute, those were not! I'm terrified of frogs since. (Thank you for visiting!).
